Peer Group Leader
Interested in helping new families build their foundation and village? Peer group leaders are the lifeblood of our organization, facilitating and leading support groups. We ask that leaders be parents themselves to assist in reflection and empathy with new parents based on their own experiences. Leaders are not parenting experts, but volunteer to lead the way for new families in establishing their foundation of people and resources needed for the journey of parenthood. Learn more about becoming a peer group leader.
Commitment includes training, and facilitation of groups that meet once per week for 12 weeks.
Want to help but don't have much time? Help us build our village! We need willing volunteers who believe in what we do to help us engage the community in our work. Share information about Building Villages with your friends and family to promote our vision, our work, and help us grow our village!
Book Club Facilitator
Want to dig into parenting based on neuroscience? Interested in Emotional Intelligence? Have a topic you would like to explore with a group of parents who are interested too? Book Club facilitators are needed to help parents navigate parenting resources and unpack the meaning and application in real life. Book Club facilitators are not experts, but excel in interpreting information provided in the texts and prompting thoughtful conversation around specific topics so parents can learn and apply the information in meaningful ways.
We are a new organization, and can always use the expertise and talents of those willing to lend them! Soon we will need office assistance, event assistance, and fundraising talent. Want to help? Contact us and let us know how you can lend your talents.
